Buffy was soon out like a light and slept soundly through the night.

He moved over to her and wrapped his arms around her, taking her in with a breath.

Damon moved to sit on the chair beside her bed. He didn't sleep that night, keeping a watchful eye on her.

Bonnie couldn't help but relax into his arms, when she felt them wrap around her, it seemed almost natural, even after that night's events.

Buffy slept well into the morning and when she woke up, she felt quite a bit better. "Mmm...Damon?" she asked, looking around for him.

"I love you, Bonnie..." he said softly against her skin. He knew he had to do better...if only for her.

She nodded, moving slowly and carefully. She got dressed and limped out to where Damon was. "Ready~"

Damon shook his head upon seeing her. "You shouldn't be leaving here, you can barely walk."

Her back was still turned to him, but she felt the bed shift.

"I'm just a bit sore from being stuck in that hospital bed all night... not exactly comfortable...I'll be fine and I promise to be stuck in bed at home." she told him.

She nodded with a smile. "It's sweet and cute that you worry, but I'm okay..." she said, continuing to limp towards the exit.

Angel made his presence known by scoffing audibly. "I love how you make it sound like no one else cares about her."

Buffy was about to kiss Damon stopped and suddenly felt awkward that Angel was there. "Why'd you come back?"

"I heard you were getting out and I wanted to make sure you were alright..."

He nodded. "I know...do you want me to sleep somewhere else tonight?"

"Okay...let me rephrase. I'm the only one that matters who cares about her." He said, his demeanor shifting when he saw Angel. "And she's fine. So thanks for checking up on her, you can go now." He spat out.
